Hello, Insiders,
David here.
First up, an apology.
The latest instalment in the Fletcher & Fletcher series was meant to come out at the end of last month. It did not. I’m sorry to say that COVID-19 made that impossible (or rather COVID-19 + toddler made that impossible). Because of this, the release date has now been pushed to December 21st.
That’s how long I need to tie off the book’s loose ends and give our ARC team a chance to point out all the glaring errors I made whilst trying to type with one hand and feed a screaming facehole with the other.
I realise some of you will be frustrated at the prospect of having to wait an extra few weeks, particularly those of you who have already pre-ordered a copy, so I’m going to offer a little something by way of an apology. Here, several weeks early, is the brand new cover for the next Fletcher & Fletcher book, Deadly Departed…
Since the cat is out of the bag re: Jake’s new partner, I thought now would be a good time to show Frank off in all his glory.
There he is, alongside his ghostly forebear. Together they are Fletcher & Fletcher, the brains and the brawn, the gruesome twosome, twins with a difference. Hope you like seeing them sharing a cover, because they’re working hand-in-hand in this new book (or maybe spirit-in-body would be a better way of putting it).
And more good news! The book might not be finished, but it’s already shaping up to be an absolute beast. I estimate that this one is going to end up being the longest Spectral Detective title yet, so get ready for a chonky boi, Fletcher fans!
David.
