Anything newsworthy happened since I last emailed you? Nothing springing immediately to mind…
…aaaanyway, did I ever tell you the title of the book I’m working on? Oh, okay then, the next adventure for that bumbling warlock Joseph Lake, now joined on a full-time basis by a talking fox named Barnabas the Everliving, is Demon’s Mark.
Maybe I did already tell you that, I can’t remember, it’s been that sort of year.
So what’s it about? Well, there will be a demon in there. and a mark. But not a demon called Mark. In fact, I haven’t given the demon a name yet. What’s a good name for a demon? Best answer makes it into the book. If there are no good answers, I’ll make something up myself, thanks FOR NOTHING.
The initial plan was to have Demon’s Mark out this year, but as we’re (somehow) fast approaching Christmas already, and we have a Jake Fletcher book out before then, Joseph is being shuffled across into early 2021. Which is very handy for me as I’m nowhere near finishing the darn thing.
So try to put your eagerness for new Joseph on the back-burner, and get ready for an onslaught of Jake Fletcher-related news over the next month and a half. That dead swine and his cadaverous partner will be ready for your greedy mitts soon!
