I don’t know about you lot, but I’ve been keeping pretty busy these last couple of weeks. Our audiobook narrators, too. Mark Restuccia and Dave Jones (the voices of Jake Fletcher and Joseph Lake respectively) have been sending in batches of audio for the latest Fletcher & Fletcher and Dark Lakes stories, plus I’ve been hard at work on the new Spectral Detective revamp.
I decided that the first book in the original series needed a second edition, so I’ve spent the last month expanding and improving it. It’s already waaaay better. I’ve penned a bunch of Uncanny Kingdom books since we started out in 2017, so I’m a much more confident writer than I was back then. Expect this edition to be cleaner, better constructed, and a lot more textured (to the tune of an extra 30,000-40,000 words!).
Oh, and while I’ve been busy with that, Matt’s been beavering away at the first book in the new Joseph Lake series. That’s meant to be landing on my desk any day now (he’s been telling me this for a couple of weeks now, the swine). Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing what the Magic Eater and his fox companion are up to these days. Did they start a detective agency together? Did they give in to their feelings and get married? Anything could happen and probably will!
