Matt here again with your regularly scheduled peek behind the curtain.

It has been a VERY BUSY WEEK. Me and David (boo-hissss) have been going over and over and over the first four books in our BRAND NEW SERIES and our eyes have just about called it quits. But it’s worth it as we think this series is in great shape! Our advance readers already have their grubby mitts on Bad Soul, the first Erin Banks book, and they’ll have the second early next week. We’re cooking on gas here, folks!

Aside from that, I’ve been writing book 5 (yeah, book 5 and book 1 isn’t even out yet!) and also, just this week, I’ve started laying down some tasty story beats for a NEW BOOK in one of our other series.
“Which series, Matthew? Also, I really like your new hair. I know you were upset because they cut it way shorter than you asked for, especially as you showed them a photo of exactly how you wanted it, but I think it suits you. Nice tidy boy.”
First of all, thank you for that entirely unprompted and heartfelt compliment, second of all…the series I’m working on a fourth book for is…

That bumbling warlock, Joseph Lake, up there in the far north of England, is about to stumble into another sulphur-tinged adventure.
It’s currently titled ‘Demon Marked’. Will that be the title when it’s eventually released…? How the hell should I know, I can’t see into the future, get off my back already!
