As I type this, I’m halfway through packing up all my stuff ready to move house in a few days. Because I’m super smart and thrifty (not stupid and cheap, honest) I’m going to be lugging my belongings by hand, right across London, over the course of several trips, back and forth.
Okay. Maybe I am a bit cheap and stupid.
What I’m gonna have, though, is plenty of thinking time! Like… so much… thinking time… so, so much…
Anyway, thinking time. It’s important when you’re a writer. You don’t just sit down and start smashing your fingers against the keyboard, you have to do a lot (A LOT) of staring into space, having a good, hard think.
And let me tell you, there’s a lot to think about. Right now I’m writing book six (SIX, FOR GOODNESS SAKE) in our Uncanny Ink series, and this will be the book when ALL IS REVEALED. Seriously. Giving you all the goodies with this one. So I need to have time to think about that. And think about all the stuff we want to do next year. All the new stuff, all the changes, all the everything.
So please think of me this week, shuttling back-and-forth, back-and-forth, over and over, on the cramped London Underground, my brain-meat conjuring up new, exciting things for you.
(Is it too late to hire a man with a van..?)
